Buying animal welfare-friendly products for your table can be tricky – what does ‘cage-free’ really mean anyway? The easiest way to tell whether the products you are buying really do come from producers that practice humane farming is to look for the RSPCA Approved Farming logo, available now on pork, eggs, chicken and turkey products.

And if you’d like to chat to someone about how to choose your food wisely, look out for the RSPCA NSW Education Team. They often have stalls at festivals such as the recent Taste of Sydney, and are more than happy to explain how producers earn our approved farming paw of approval.
