Living Ruff – Part 2

When the time came to let Tigga go, Andrew was devastated, but he was also grateful that RSPCA’s Living Ruff program had made the process much less painful for him. His remaining cat, Harley also missed Tigger and in time Andrew was able to adopt Bonnie to keep them both company. The trio still receive support from the Living Ruff program, and Andrew is so appreciative that he managed to raise over $350 to enable the program to help more people like him.

In addition to helping homeless people and their pets stay together, the Living Ruff program also organises events to provide advice on animal health and welfare and distributes flea and worm treatments. We also lobby for increased availability of crisis accommodation that includes pets. None of RSPCA’s community programs receive ongoing financial assistance from the government.
