Education School Visits

Education is the most important tool we have when it comes to improving the welfare of our animals. Often people simply don’t know the right way to look after their pets, or may not have considered the ethical and moral issues surrounding the way animals are treated.

That’s why our Education Team is especially keen to spread the message among the younger generations. Team members include a qualified primary school teacher, who visits schools to explain the basics to younger students, such as responsible pet ownership, and to lead discussions with high school students on topics such as humane food choices. The team has a range of set topics teachers can select from, or they can tailor a presentation to specific interests. Though it’s hard to tell sometimes whether the kids are more excited to see our Education Officers or Rusty, the Education Dog!
