Community Animal Welfare Scheme South West Sydney (CAWS SWS)

Sometimes people know what it takes to be a responsible pet owner — desexing, vaccinations, mircrochipping — but can’t afford it. And sometimes people simply aren’t aware of how taking proper care of their pet can help their entire community.

RSPCA NSW’s Community Animal Welfare Scheme (CAWS) addresses both these issues. From providing subsidised veterinary services for low-income earners, to educating communities about how reducing the number of unwanted puppies and kittens helps everyone in the long run, CAWS helps to prevent animals ending up at a shelter.

Plus, vet students from Sydney University gain valuable hands-on experience by helping out on the day. Watch to find out how everybody wins with CAWS.
